Firevolt released a 5 September 2026 hotfix for a Fatal Error experienced by some players in local co-op. The confirmed scope is local mode, not every startup or online crash.
Version matching for co-op
Install the latest update before retesting. For online sessions, Firevolt asks both partners to use the same version and says the version number appears in the lower-left corner of the main menu.
When to report a new issue
If the crash persists, record the exact symptom, game version, PC specifications, reproduction steps, and any screenshots, video, or logs requested by Firevolt. Do not label a different crash as the fixed local-co-op error without evidence.
